Every October, like the flocks of Canada geese flying south to avoid Alberta winters… Crowfoot Crossing sees hundreds, maybe thousands of RV’s and Snowbirds heading for the warmer climes of the southern states. Highway 36 south to the 24 hr Coutts & Montana I-15 border crossing is their major “flyway”. We always welcome them back in April, the caravan of RV’s is a sight to behold!

High Load Corridors.
In Four Directions.

As a compass has four main headings, so does Crowfoot Crossing. Highway 12 heads west to central Alberta and Red Deer, and connects east to Saskatoon. Highway 36 stretches north to Fort Mac, and south across the 24 hr Coutts/Sweetgrass border crossing into the southern USA states of Texas and California.
The strength and beauty of Crowfoot Crossing is its location, and ability to handle transportation modes of every size, shape, and form. From large “monster moves” regularly occurring because of its “high load corridor” designation to the intersection connecting “everywhere to anywhere”, there’s not a product or service that does not pass through Crowfoot Crossing.
The connection of western Saskatchewan to eastern Alberta and into the Red Deer region is a large and busy transportation route. Crowfoot Crossing is a major fuelling stop for those travelling to/from Saskatoon to the west.

Paintearth, along with Alberta Transportation and ATCO Electric, has recently seen to the removal of the overhead powerlines along Highway 12. Thus, making it accessible for large scale moves to access Highway 36. Factor in the absence of road bans on these transport corridors, Crowfoot Crossing is the ideal hub and connection location.
